About

Founded in San Francisco by Callie Jones and Julia Li in 2023, COL presents emerging and historically significant artists, creating conversations across generations, practices, and cultural perspectives.

THE GALLERY IS NAMED AFTER THE LATE SCULPTOR RICHARD NONAS
“For sculpture is that spatial, gap-between, that COL between mountain peaks. Sculpture is that implied absence, that almost-clarity about not-quite-confusion. Sculpture is that dissonance — the dissonance of intersecting and conflicting chunks of human meaning cut into an historicized world. The dissonance, that is to say, of art.”
