Noelle Phares
Noelle Phares (b.1985) is a contemporary painter whose work explores the intersection of the natural world and human-built environments. Trained as an environmental scientist and later working in tech, Phares shifted to painting to address themes of ecological change, development, and the tension between wilderness and urbanization.

Her layered, geometric compositions often depict fractured landscapes—mountains, forests, and skies intersected by architectural forms and abstract planes. By combining the organic and the constructed, Phares highlights both the fragility of natural ecosystems and humanity’s complex, sometimes disruptive relationship with them.

Based in Denver, she has exhibited widely across the United States. Through her paintings, Phares creates visually striking meditations on place, balance, and the future of the environments we inhabit.
